A traditional Scottish cottage at the foot of Glen Sannox — mountains behind you, the beach at your door.
Woodside sits at the foot of Glen Sannox with direct access to the beach from the garden. Our traditional cottage home has three bedrooms upstairs, a large lounge with open fire, a library with glen view, two bathrooms, and further sleeping quarters with full-sized bunk beds and flexible additional living space.
The cottage and its entire grounds are available for your exclusive use — by the week, or short breaks by request. Centrally heated throughout with plentiful hot water for deep baths and a power shower, plus excellent drying facilities for when the Arran weather does what Arran weather does.
There are lovely local walks, varied wildlife, pony trekking, a scenic little golf course at the end of the lane, the Corrie Tea Room, and a restaurant pub just a walk away.
Dramatic hill walks from the doorstep. Glen Sannox cuts into the heart of the Arran ridge — Cìr Mhòr, Caisteal Abhail, and the Witch's Step await.
Step directly onto the beach from the garden. Watch seals on the rocks, catch the light over Bute, or simply let the sound of the sea do its work.
Red squirrels, red deer, golden eagles, seals, and otters. The whole island is a UNESCO-recognised Geopark.

Woodside has been in the family since 1957, purchased from the Duchess of Hamilton by Air Vice Marshal Ronald Graham, Lord Lieutenant for the County of Bute — the walls hold quite a history.
