Common questions

Can we bring our dog?
Yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior arrangement. A supplement of £15 applies. Dogs sleep in the utility room and are not permitted in bedrooms or on furniture. Please bring your dog's own bedding.
What's included in the rental?
Linen, towels, electricity, central heating, and parking are all included. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is an extensive library, music collection, and film library for your use.
How do we get to the cottage?
By car or train to Ardrossan, then the CalMac ferry to Brodick (55 min). The cottage is approximately 30 minutes north along the coast road. Full directions are on our Getting Here page.
Is there a minimum stay?
In peak season (July–August) we let by the full week (Saturday to Saturday). Outside peak season, short breaks of 3–4 nights can often be arranged — please enquire directly.
What is the check-in / check-out time?
Check-in is from 4pm on arrival day. Check-out is by 10am on departure day. We can sometimes be flexible outside peak weeks — just ask.
Is there Wi-Fi?
There is internet access at the cottage. Please note that rural Arran connectivity can be variable — we'd encourage guests to embrace the slower pace of island life!
